2007-10-18 David Gasparian celebrated his 60th anniversary

David Gasparian is famous for his more than 30 monographs and more than 500 articles. On occasion David Gasparian was granted a gold medal for his great input in the field of Armenology. Those present at the event estimated David Gasparian’s activity as a specialist and critic in literature, and stated that Armenian modern literature is greatly in need of such specialists.

2007-10-18 “Path of Sustenance - Reveal the potential of a green Armenia” kicked off in Yerevan

The program has the purpose of helping bring to Armenia the agricultural know how of countries with a developed agriculture. “There is the need for cooperation in the villages. We need to help the villager work the soil correctly,” said the program’s manager, Mark Beghyan. The director of “Fruitful,” Ann-Christine Shirinyan said, “the purpose is to improve the lives of villagers and the village itself.” For that reason, she said, Armenians need to improve their agricultural products and make them available to internal and external markets. This is the third fruitful Armenia conference. The first, which centered on organic farming, took place in 2005, and the second, concerning water and irrigation, in 2006.
