2007-10-23 Serj Sarkissian’s interview to the Associated Press

Serj Sarkissian said that none of the 40 congressmen, pro or against the 106-resolution, question the historical fact of the Armenian Genocide. He said that those who are for the adoption of the resolution state that genocide was committed and now is the time to officially recognize the fact. While, those who are against the resolution state that indeed genocide was committed, but now is not the right to officially recognize the historical fact. The Armenian premier also announced that Turkey cannot remain neutral towards the Armenian Azerbaijani conflict and Ankara-Yerevan relations are mainly dictated by Armenian Azerbaijani relations. Sarkissian noted that indirectly Turkey holds Azerbaijan back from reaching a compromised resolution to the NKR conflict. Serj Sarkissian concluded that unfortunately Turkey absolutely supports Azerbaijan in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, while not a single state absolutely supports the republic of Armenia.

2007-10-23 Mahaparts celebrate the 15th anniversry of establishment

Today, once again in Gandzasar, but in free Gandzasar, under a flag torn apart from the war, members of the battalion and Shepard Ter Hovhaness received medals. Commander of the battalion Arthur Alexanian, who according to the description of the mahaparts is a “brave and caring commander”, also received a medal.

2007-10-23 Judo Super Cup tournament in Yerevan

Multi group establisher, Armenian national Olympic committee president Gagig Tsarukian said that 6 judoist in 60, 66 and 81 kg categories from Armenia will participate in the competition.
