Harutyunian said PACE is considering sending a mission to Azerbaijan to study the issue on the ground.
The Armenian parliamentary delegation to PACE sent also a written question to the Council of Europe Ministers Committee regarding Azerbaijan’s violation of the European Cultural Convention by preventing international experts from visiting the Armenian cemetery in Julfa in Azerbaijani autonomous region of Nakhichevan that was almost completely destroyed by Azerbaijani armed forces. In September Armenia’s foreign ministry condemned the demolition of the Narimanov Cemetery in Baku saying in a statement that “such steps conform entirely with the Azerbaijani policy of destroying Armenian cultural monuments and any traces of Armenians in that country, and in fact represents an extension of that logic now leading to the abuse of the memory and history of other communities in Baku.” |

Alexander Radovitski – deputy head of the ACT publishing house finds that suchlike collaboration will be very efficient. Radovirski greatly necessitated good translation, since people get acquainted with literary values of different countries through translations. Recently number of publishing houses has considerably increased, whereas the number of bookstores has decreased. This tendency is noticed not only in Armenia but also in Russia. As Anatoli Garbonov – deputy head of the CIS countries book delivery company says, years ago there were 200 publishing houses in the Soviet Union, whereas today there are 250 publishing houses in Armenia alone and another 6000 in Russia. |

When commenting on Armenian Prime Minister Serj Sarkissyan\'s statement that the Armenian party is ready to recognize territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, Manoyan said there is nothing other word in this statement since it is clear to us that Nagorni Karabakh has never been within the sovereign Azerbaijan. So Serj Sarkissyan said nothing unusual. For the ARFD not only Nagorni Karabakh and Lachin and other liberated territories should be the subject of the talks but also lowland Karabakh as these territories were also given to Azerbaijan when he was a part of a big empire but not an independent state, Kiro Manoyan said and added that the issue on territories returning should not be resolved by voluntary decision of certain politicians but via the referendum of the peoples of Armenia and Nagorni Karabakh.
