| The American-Armenian Mammography Center |
Medical employees will be trained to diagnose diseases at an early stage and take the needed action. During its 10 years of existence, the American-Armenian mammography center has examined 125.000 women. According to establisher of the center Khachanush Hakobian, the results of 60.000-mammography examination have revealed cancer in a large number of women under 28. Hakobian said that early stage breast cancer was detected in 700 women, and with the help of surgical interference the disease was eliminated. VivaCell executive director Ralph Yirikian said that the core of every Armenian family is a healthy woman and in order to have strong and health generations, the nation needs strong and healthy women. |
